​We are thrilled to announce that once again, these Ottawa icons will entertain you at 7pm on Saturday 30 September 2017. The venue (as well as the date) will be the same as last year, namely Sunnyside Wesleyan Church, 58 Grosvenor Ave, Ottawa.  Come out for a glorious evening of traditional gospel music.  Rev Ernie is the pastor at McPhail Memorial Baptist Church, 249 Bronson Avenue, Ottawa, where they can enjoy his wonderful talents weekly. The London Trio + recently released their new CD, LTP, which we like enormously, and the privilege of seeing them in person is a great joy.  ​There will be refreshments after the show when you can mingle with the artists and other listeners to Good News in the Morning. Reverend Ernie Cox has been entertaining Ottawans with his piano since the heady days when Sneezy Waters and Bruce Cockburn were learning their trade in these streets. In recent decades his gospel sound has found him a huge audience, particularly at Christmas at the NAC.  This is your rare chance to see him, Lynda and the London Trio plus - his musical family - in an intimate setting, glorifying and pleasing the Lord with their combined talents.  Several times he has honoured Good News Christian Ministries with spirit-led fundraising concerts, and this will be no exception. We are particularly pleased to host this event at Sunnyside Wesleyan Church, where one of our four preachers, Brent Russett, is the senior pastor.  

​After the concert there will be refreshments and an opportunity to mingle with listeners, preachers and members of the GNCM board.  

Do you have friends who you think would enjoy listening in to Good News in the Morning, but are not yet doing so?  Why not invite them to join you for this evening of joy and fellowship. It's your ideal opportunity gently to introduce them to the radio program - which might be their salvation, literally.

Our Spring 2015 event was designed to give our listeners the opportunity to mingle with our preachers, ask them theological and other questions and get to know them. It took place at Bethany Baptist Church from noon to 2 pm on Saturday 2 May 2015.

This was a lunchtime event for your convenience, and indeed, there was a sit-down hot lunch. There was also a freewill offering to support the costs of our broadcasts every Sunday morning on 580 CFRA at 6:30 am - and then available by podcast.

If you have friends who are not yet listeners to the program, you were invited to bring them along to this joyous occasion! 

Did you know that Brian Wilkie, one of our four preachers is also an accomplished acapella singer? One of the groups he sings with is 7th Heaven, and they sang for us on this day.
